Is there a way to track the build production status on an X3? I looked but didn't find a thread on it.

Go to bmwusa.com ->Owners -> sign up for a MyBMW account -> log in -> go to My Garage -> My Vehicle -> enter your Production # (get this from your dealer/on the build inquiry form) or your VIN if you have it already.->A photo of a car like the one you ordered should show up, with all the build particulars, and a link to "Track Status".

My experience with the tracking was that it is precise at the start and end, but not all that accurate in the middle. You can also call the BMW Genius # and they will help you track your car. And the My BMW app will allow you to sign in and follow the build of your car as well.

Enjoy the process. My husband and I are going to pick up my new X3 M40i next week; I can't wait!

Thanks @[MechX3M40i], the process so far has been smooth. We have taken care of the negotiations and ordering totally through emails/texts, so it will be interesting to meet our Client Advisor face to face.
