I approach the red lights breaking to come to stop. Even before I completely stop the engine cuts out. If I continue to brake I come to a stop with a bit of body jiggle (back and forth rocking). The only way to stop the rocking is to brake and just before the brakes grab for complete stop, release slightly to come to soft stop. The act of releasing break slightly causes engine to start again. Interestingly, when I use auto cruise control.... the car comes to a smooth stop WITHOUT causing the engine to stop/start. Ie. it stops after stopping (or at least doesn’t restart the engine). What are others experience with this? |

Enable the car to see stop lights in the Nav. The car is supposed to take that into consideration when deciding to shut the car off or not.

Oh interesting! I was wondering why that option is there when a little stoplight logo at intersections didn't seem very helpful. Plus, the icon for stoplights looks a little low-res.

Same as you and I have a base 2019 sdrive 30i. The cutoff when coming to a red light is almost impossible to control smoothly unless you come to rolling stop like in a hybrid and then slightly start to brake until you come to a stop. Way too much effort to not get that jerk. It also gets me when im parking and trying to creep forward that last inch. I hope they update this soon or else I will look to turn it off with programming. |

What’s the difference between Park Distance Control and Active Park Distance Control? The former is standard and the latter is an optional. Can somebody explain what they both do?

Looks like individual options are NOT going to be offered once again. I received the following for the bmwgenius: "We regret to confirm that the 2019 BMW X3 M40i will not offer any BMW Individual Upholstery or Trim options". I also read somewhere that the red seats (non-individual) and exterior flamenco red were exclusive to the X4.

I just came back from the dealer working out a 2019 model 30d build. It looks like (in Europe, Holland) you can't order the sensatec dashboard anymore in M sport. Also M sport gives you no choice any more on the interior panels, only piano black. Alu trim is also only available in luxury line... I hate it...
I really like the sensa dash as it adds some nice touch to the interior also the piano black is not my choice. Dealer is gonna check on Monday with BMW to see if theres a mistake in his ordering system or if it's just the 2019 model limitations.

"The only way to stop the rocking is to brake and just before the brakes grab for complete stop, release slightly to come to soft stop.
The act of releasing break slightly causes engine to start again." <<<< This is exactly what caused me mad. |
