Great DA, but cloudy and cold in the 40s so me (and a lot of others as we discussed during the day) just weren't getting the grip out of the Summer performance tires. Most everyone I talked with shared frustration on their 0-60ft interval times. Fastest time was 11.703s in my 4th run, fastest speed 118.20mph in my 1st run. I also have no idea whether some runs were effectively 'heat-soaked' since for a few of the runs I left the engine running in between the long waits (as I also wanted to burn off some gas volume). I don't have enough experience in cold weather to know how long it takes to wait in mid-40 degree weather for the LC to sense it isn't warmed up enough. Others I spoke with said the exact same thing. Given the volume of the cars there yesterday, and the periodic track closures to clean up leaks etc, averaged only 1 run an hour, but all in all still an amazing time.

Note the slips indicate '10' Jan, but it was yesterday, '9' Jan. Since my time didn't eclipse robopp 's record, the multi-class record sheet doesn't change, nor does the SC class as I didn't even break my best time. As I now have 22 runs (getting close to forza1976 ), I edited down to only my top 8 and am sharing that as I did for forza1976 .

Dragy once again did a good job on the time and speed, but the slope still wanders between runs, but overall a great tool to have when not at the track and wanting to compare differences in set-up.

Still looking to see some stock non-comp and St2 entries, as well as runs from those with the 265/295 set-up.

Welcome to the Forum, X3MMM , and congratulations on your new F97.

Rather than sharing which one is the 'fastest', here are a couple of generalized threads you can start with, but would encourage you to spend some time absorbing the information from those who have a lot of experience with these before diving into a purchase.

all dragy info for the faster ones. I think FastPanther is the fastest thus far on stock hardware.

Thanks, I go by track as that is official even though draggy is very close.

So fastest time I see from Max with a tune only is 10.8x? From MP?

I plan on just doing a tune only and want to be the fastest tune only.

Dragy is usually within .1 and my 10.77 is on unprepped surface. Just regular road.

Yes, X3MMM, and for ease of viewing the data I should probably post periodic summary charts for clarity. I thought we'd have more submissions so that by doing this often it would keep itself up to date, but with COVID and other reasons I guess formal track days have been less than expected. I'll label them as I did here for quick reviewing if downloaded into folders on personal systems.

Looking forward to your runs and formal slips when you get a chance!

Not sure if you're able to do so, @X3MMM, but if you do have a non-comp F97 as your garage suggests, if you could run some formal slips stock before you tune you'd be the first to share any data, and would be guaranteed a spot in the 'SNC' category. Some of us have been wondering whether the 30HP difference will show up at the Strip, so it'd be nice to finally have some data if you can.

Max uses formal slips in his data, so until someone with just a tune (not a tune and filters... ahem FastPanther) then I’m sure someone can get the claim.

I’ve held the official record for over 6 months now, someone should be able to go tune only (TUNE ONLY..... aka just a tune, aka no other modifications) soon enough.

Same team, but when I get called out (FSociety enjoys this) for making up races or gas used cause someone choice of tuner is in the loosing corner, that’s bad sportsmanship. Did you see the call out in the other thread?!

My initial intent for this thread was to discuss anything related to the performance capabilities of the F97/98, and to have it in one place. It became frustrating to keep searching for data when everyone was posting their own threads and there wasn't a single reference point I could go to find the information I wanted. So even if members start their own thread (as I did with my GNV one), I hope at least summary data is placed here so we know we can always find it.

And I've indicated previously the reasoning behind why I don't include Dragy in the formal spreadsheets I produce, for I, like you and many in the serious side of the hobby, feel the gold standard is runs at a sanctioned track where variables can be minimized (especially if everyone provides their ancillary data like tire psi, fuel volume, fuel octane, ...). But I enjoy seeing non-formal (Dragy) data as well as it provides a rough idea as to what's attainable and sets a goal to 'see if I can hit that at the track'.

Personally, I'm still aiming to be the first sub-11.6xxs at the track. I know it's doable based on the data from all of my earlier runs. I'm thinking 11.584s will be possible. So with this mindset, hoping others look at this in an enjoyable competitive way, as we are all chasing the ultimate goal for our respective constructs, be it SNC, SC, St1, etc.
