Nah - I did not. I didn't really want to take off those pieces. I ended up using a BlackVue B-124 battery that's sitting in my glove box, and it's wired to a switched fuse (47) in the front fuse box. Can't see any wires except for where it plugs into the cam like the pic shows really. It's really easy to route the wires around and out of the way on this car up in the headliner!

Yep, mine. And luckily hasn't noticed this. Good thing is, if gets too much of ghetto look then i do believe they come off relatively easily. Otherwise, if i don't show up here, then .... find me ....

installed something I never thought I would because I was convinced it would ruin the handling and/or cause stress on stock parts quicker.....15mm H&R wheel spacers front and rear.

and.....I actually like the look at lot. handling isn't much different if any at all. I do notice more turning input at lower speeds is required, higher speeds I cannot tell much.

It's happening..no going back now.

My resonator is coming off as I write this from the waiting room of the muffler shop.

For anyone not familiar with my car, I have a catted DP and no muffler.

Going to have the loudest, best, worst, most obnoxious, most annoying, or coolest sounding X3 depending on who you are

Loud cars aren't for everyone.. but I practically grew up in my brothers straight piped 93 5.0 notchback and 03 cobra. I am ready

I was going to record a clip earlier when at the mall but police kept driving by patrolling the parking lot so I decided against it.

I'll try to get some clips tomorrow.

I'll say this.. I think it sounds amazing and now the perfect loud for me. It is LOUD I was prepared and accepted the fact that there would be crazy drone but to my surprise, barely any difference from before which I am extremely surprised and happy about.

No longer a skeptic... This method really works, used it as-is, dry. After a good seal, pull it, and darn thing just pops out.

worked on this one cap for over 1 hour yesterday. still didn't come out perfect. was literally the hardest mod I've done to a car. there are some small creases around the part of the mirror closest to the door. that angle is ridiculous to form vinyl around. the fake carbon fiber weave helps mask the small creases. we'll see if it's going to bother me and I end up buying the regular gloss black covers or carbon... hopefully mirror cap #2 is easier.

Looks good in that photo!

I had feared that wrapping them would be difficult, so I bought a pair of primed caps and have sprayed them gloss black. Clear coat was a real pain to spray gloss without runs, so I've got a lot of wet sanding to do!

they look good in photos. but there are a couple creases where the very rounded edges are. it is very difficult. will just buy the IND gloss black ones lol.

Neither. Cargo box will be going up there tomorrow. Taking a short road trip this weekend which is more of a test scenario for a longer/father road trip for latter in the year.

They’re pretty expensive at $340 though, I bought new genuine caps for $130 and they should look good once they’re wet sanded.

Looks great. I see your bars are positioned a few inches further back than mine (OEM). I followed the measurements from the manual for installation but I get a ton of wind noise. Have you noticed that with the Thule set? I'm curious if it's bar design or positioning. Thanks!
