Aluminum door trim replacement?

Hey guys. My wife accidentally scratched the drivers side aluminum rhombicle door trim near the door pull pretty badly . Basically left a horizontal scratch about 4” along the width of it where something she was carrying happened to scrape against it. I’m OCD and wanna replace it since I’ll see it every time I get in the car, but the newtis guide instructions below seem nuts - grinding down spot welds!

Are there any known videos of folks wrapping the existing or replacing this finishing trim to show how to pop it out and put it back? Taking the entire door panel off looks fairly trivial.

Replacing the door finisher:

Any other solutions or ideas on fixing this?

You can purchase CF overlay trims for RG Sports, not sure if they have other trims. I believe Ali Express sell trims as well.

I'm pretty sure someone here mentioned that the led stripes are somehow "connected" with this panels - meaning you can damage the strip when changing the trim.
What rem40i suggest might be a better way to "fix" it.

The part number is 51418093515. I only see one screw going to it, which pretty much looks like it isn’t held by normal clips... spot welds, thats insane for trim pieces

Aluminum door trim replacement

Shemazar,
i had the same problem in the end of the year. I put my bikes on the car and accidentally scratched the drivers side aluminum rhombicle door trim. Did you find a site or a store where we can buy a new one ?
Best, Pacheco
