Lowered F97/F98 Thread
After countless hours of debating which route I wanted to go in lowering the new to me F97 (Thanks for your patience, advice and great services as always r33_RGSport ), I now need to decide on the ride height I want. I think I am going to go for about a 1" wheel gap, front and back (I'm done slamming cars...lol). That said, there are probably many others debating for the look they are trying to achieve, so this is my attempt to consolidate lowered pics into one thread for future owners to reference.
Post up your best side profile picture with lowering hardware and ride height settings. Any feedback you would like to share about ride characteristics of you setup is an added plus. To get things started, here is my stock X3M as I sit here patiently waiting for KW V3s to arrive, my 340i on a mild drop and my old s52 swapped E30, as low as it would go |

1.25" is a perfect drop IMO.

If I went with MSS and have the 255/295 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season setup, are spacers required or is it a cosmetic choice?

Top Stock.
Below is Eibach Lowering springs ~1 inch front, 1.2 inch back, 12mm spacers all around. Bottom is settled a bit more after 2 months. Springs made the ride actually softer, but not by much, just where I would want it for a sporty daily. |

Thank you. I love the tires. For the money they are a great all season tire. The x3 handles quite well with them on. Low noise. Great wet and winter handling too. I've had a few sets on different vehicles and all perform well.
