I assume you are on iOS? I wanted to try these out last night but the Android version was last updated Oct 5 and doesn't include these features. Hopefully it rolls out soon because I can't wait to code the start/stop memory.

Sure does -- as long as the engine isn't running when you code. Otherwise, you'll get a "coding failed" error.
Old-school ESys users like me, that used to take a lot of time to fire up (in my case) the VM that ESys ran on, connect the car, run Launcher Pro, then connect and run ESys are used to either leaving the car running and/or having it on a trickle charger. It makes perfect sense, of course, that you can't change ASS memory while the engine is running. But until the author told me, I'd have had no way of knowing -- the app should instruct you to turn off the engine before coding this ECU. BTW, there's also no help in the app for setting maintenance mode. To save yourself a Google search here's how: press the Start/Stop button three times quickly -- and wait for the display to indicate maintenance mode. I strongly urge you all to put the car on a battery maintainer before you code. One more point: ASS memory works really well. For example, if you have ASS off, then switch to Eco Pro (which turns it on) and then back to Comfort, ASS will remain off in Comfort mode. Even more impressive: if you turn the car off in Eco Pro mode with ASS on but ASS was last off in Comfort mode, it remains off at the next restart. This is exactly the way the car should work from the factory, IMO.

I've only been using Bimmercode for last 4 months, picked up quite a few tips up from here, Always disconnect phone pairing if using Bluetooth adapter and put phone in flight mode, backup driver profile, connection initially done with engine running and then turn off engine and all goes through fine
Coding only takes a minute or so, can't see any issue with battery problems One other thing I've seen is be wary coding anything that has a unknown value as you can't revert back to it unless using a back up You can also save your Bimmercode backups through iTunes in case of a problem with phone updates deleting them I've had 4 map updates since I got the car and always do those with car sitting on drive and off, they take over a hour and never had any battery issue |

I feel like an idiot but where is the ASS setting in Bimmercode? I am not seeing it.
EDIT: I found it in demo mode in FEM-01 but when I connect to the car it says that ECU is not supported.

There was a iPhone update a few days ago that added it to the first page, no need to go into expert mode If you're on Android I don't think the update is out yet |

Ignition on (3 quick presses on the start stop button without pressing brake pedal)
Worked for me. Just coded ASS memory and Alpina dash and tailgate not remote operable.

It shouldn't be tied to Driver profile (not on mine that is - coded with bimmercode app). However it appears to be linked to Driving Mode. i.e. eco pro, comfort, sports

Does the Alpina coding work only on the M40i or the 30i as well? It looks like they have different gauge displays

On a G01, coding is in DME, which cannot be coded with engine running. Quote:
