Help with Locking rod clips in rear doors

I just did the bavsound speaker install and both the locking rod pins fell out of the rear doors. The yellow clips are attached to the locking rods, but can’t insert them back into the door lock actuator. The doors still lock and unlock.

How do I reinstall these back in?
