I don't have one mounted (even though it's required in MA). Didn't have one on my RS3 for the last three years too and never had an issue. YMMV

so no tow hook mounts for the F97? I got the bolt from us millworks for the X3 m40, but it's about a half inch too short, and there's nowhere to put a bumper on it, or a washer. they don't like answering their email, so i'm SOL, and already picked up a no front plate ticket :/

I think I read the tow hook placement also sets off the sensors. So really SOL.

The front end is just too good. There's no way I could mount the plate.

Don't mount one. I ran with no front plate for years in NY and got the odd ticket - usually tacked on top of a moving violation, but it was worth it.

doesn't work in chicago. i'm in the city proper and end up street parking several times a week (for errands, car's garaged). i'll be getting a ticket a week at least.

Perhaps you can get away without a front plate in Washington but, in Colorado they will pull you over, site you and spank you with a fine.
