Water in headlights

Just noticed water seems to be getting into one of my headlights.

Have never had that happen - so presume it's not normal?

Any idea what the cause is?

Thanks guys.

Some dew/moisture is normal. There's a vent somewhere to let it out. Unless its flooding.

A lot of moisture. Came out of nowhere. Any idea how to get rid of it.

Take it to the dealer, they are sealed and should not any moisture inside. I have never heard of a vented light. I could be wrong, but I'd still take to the dealer to be sure.

They are all vented. Lights get extremely hot and extremely cold and the pressure needs to equalize.

Washed the car today and again - water in the headlight.

Will have to go to the dealership. Complete pain in the ass.

Closing the loop on this. After inspection, there was deemed to be a faulty seal behind the light. BMW replaced at no cost.

Apparently the part alone (new headlight), is circa $4k, which is absolutely insane.

Have now had two fit and finish issues in the first 90 days of ownership, hoping this turns around.
