Trouble removing kidney grills

I followed new.tis to release the top three tabs, but the clips on the side are holding it and I don’t want to break them.

Any tips?

Also, I just noticed those scratches. Wondering if it was from my break in service

Well I got impatient and go the passenger side out at the expense of one clip (will epoxy back on).

I am having a similar issue on the dirver's side. The side clip (in the center) will not release and I do not see how I can get to it from the back as it is covered.

Any thoughts? I have watched videos and mine do not come out as easy as they show.

Well I was able to finally release it by working the pry tool inside the grill and releasing the final clip.

Thanks for the link, but actually this was for the kidney grills.

I got them out and am currently waiting for the epoxy to set on the one broken clip.

I took them off so I can wrap my v-brace

Other than the 3 tabs on top of the grill, what else should I do to remove the grill?
Any pics and instructions would help.

Yes m the OP. They are a PITA and the instructions on newtis are not great.

Removing the top 3 tabs is easy, but the tabs on the side are blocked. If you get lucky one will release and then you can fit a pry tool in to release the other.

I broke one tab but was able to epoxy it back on.

The removal process was no where as easy as the videos show.
