CF steering wheel insert

Here's the part number - 32302457717. Anyone have it? Seems pricey for what you get, but at the same time will pull the CF accents together nicely.

Do you want just the insert or also a new steering wheel?

Yes I bought it before I bought the M Performance steering wheel

The part # you have is indeed for the X3M (standard) steering wheel in CF/Leather (and with heating)

Autotecknic/IND also offer a CF/Alcantara version which is a little cheaper
https://autotecknic.com/products/aut...97-x3m-f98-x4m

If you are considering buying the M Performance steering wheel at some point please be aware it does come already with the CF/Alcantara trim and the CF paddles (can't order it without either)

Do you have the part number or site to order the M performance wheel with the carbon fiber insert and paddles? Thank you!

This what I have on my car.
AutoTecknic one.
The M Performance one doesn't have the spoke slit.

Basically it is the same process
You have to remove the steering wheel in order to remove the trim piece (you can try to do it with just the airbag removed but it’s easier to just remove the wheel after all)
https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=22477236
The tricky bit can be to locate the slots to release the airbag
Then you can remove the trim following the process below

Thanks. Had no idea it was that involved. Should be an interesting project. I have to do the paddle shifters as well so guess I'll knock them out at the same time.

I wouldn't say it is involving.
It is quite simple, the trickiest part is airbag removal. Because you can't see where is your tool against the locking spring.
