When using the OEM guards for the regular X3 there is a gap on the front flaps if you don't trim them. For a lot of people in different climates this may not be an issue but due to the small rocks, salt, road debris we get from the winter this would not be acceptable for me. If trimmed correctly they may fit flush but I would be a little worried about them rubbing on the paint.

Yes you can make the BMW OEM ones fit but another member has commented that over time dirt and grim get in behind them as they aren't a "matched fit" and scratch the paintwork.

Don't get me wrong I'm very happy you're happy with them but members need to be aware there are down sides to using the BMW OEM ones as they are designed for the standard bumper...
I'm confused again.

I installed the eBay ones which are made for the M40i sport bumper and seem to fit well. Perhaps the comment was not to be directed at me?

The OP installed the BMW ones. Yet, they also seem to fit well from the pics which is also confusing as I have seen other threads mentioning they do not fit.

Older thread I know. But would these fit an X4M. Look real good OEM style.
Just noticing some road rash and want to fit these or similar before it gets any worse.
Thanks in advance.
