4 years ago we spent Christmas in New York. Took our parkas and thermals, Christmas Eve it was 23C and we went up the Empire State at night in t shirts. Weather extremes are becoming more common.

Looks great! Are you doing the side gills/vents too? I’m one week in with my front grills and caps in black and love it. I have the side vents but keep going back and forth on whether to change for black.

I might try these Autotecknic carbon fiber side pieces that mount on top with 3M tape.

Nooooo......... did similar about a week or so ago. Is due to visit detailers that did ceramic protection in March for 6 month "checkup" so they'll organise alloy repair (with Lepsons, the best in the business) and the repost the alloy. Not cheap mind!

I contacted Autotecknic about the carbon fiber mirrors not fitting correctly. They actually said that the batch of mirrors mine came from had issues with the tabs. The caps have to be returned and they will send me a new set in about 10 to 14 days. It was driving me nuts that I couldn't get them attached properly.

Dude I did the pretty much the same damage as noted, I taped it off with a bit of wet and dry and lacquer it looks a lot better, but I do know its there

CC sticker Looks OK. (Personally I prefer the debadged clean look, but suppose if I owned an "M" car I might leave that badge!).

Finally exorcised the last of the Cerium from the X3 M40 I ordered a set of primed OE mirror caps and painted them Alpine White to match. Looks OE, I guess it is on the 4 cylinder X3.

IND will paint mirror caps any color you'd like. I too prefer the caps in the car's exterior color. It's how BMW does it's extended shadowline options.
