You need to remove the whole panel, start above the fog light with a plastic pry tool, once you get the top clips out it's then fairly easy to work your way around the rest.

Then lay the panel down on something soft, and using a very small flat blade screwdriver gradually unclip all the fixings on the back of the boomerang. Don't be tempted to lever it from the front at all as you will damage the boomerang.

It's tricky but doable, I managed it on mine:

Day before yesterday I ordered a new G01 BMW X3 xDrive 20D M Sport in artic white
Only 2 options I went for
M Sport Plus pack & the electric folding towbar

Luckily for me the exact car was already on the ship on its way to the Uk so I should get it sometime mid November

These are replacements and original vents gotta come off.
Also the emblems were super easy to take off. Not sure why, but when I received them... both emblems were not fully stuck on. one side of emblems were slightly sticking up so I just grabbed that and ripped them off. It's almost as if the seller knew people with none M model would remove those emblems and not attached them fully.

The "why" probably reflects build quality, but nevertheless they look good.

It's comes out pretty easy, just use a trim removal tool and start from the bit nearest to the arm rest, then work your way around the sides. There is some connectors that need to be disconnected before you can fully remove it. Releasing the connectors was the hardest bit to be fair. You will get an handbrake missing alert on the dash but clears after it's all reattached.

Damn it Loukango you've cost me 118 bucks, as I've now ordered some of these!
