You know what @teaston was saying the same thing about the CF. I'll have to keep an eye on it, or perhaps get the CF relaid properly if this does occur.

I can't say that I have noticed a whistling noise at all... Windows up or down? I have a road trip this weekend, so i'll listen out for it.

I haven't noticed the disproportion - Do you mean size or shape?

Im hearing whistling from my (driver) side. With windows down and up.I already spoke with the seller, he will ship me a new one. But the disproportion is definitely there in my eyes. I think is too bulky in some angles of view. Maybe its hard to notice on “black” on black thought! With my alpina white color, the black caps have more contrast, and much more noticeable., and I start to see body ratio disproportions. (From the front/side/ view).
Please brotha try to check the whistling issue for me. (Turn off music, AC. It will appear around 30-40 miles speed). Maybe i have defective cap.

Aren't they the same design and shape as the OEM on the M models?

Yes today I checked my right size mirror....and there is no whistling. I contacted seller they sending me replacement

Programmed the full screen CarPlay today. I like not having to waste screen real estate now. My wife owns an Audi S5 Sportback and I love the option to have the Google satellite view on the dash all the time, so now I’m able to do that with the Google Maps app and zoom in closer than the 1 mile scale on the BMW nav map.

Guys did someone noticed that X3M and MCompetition badges located at top right corner of the trunk.

So Im thinking to order IND Gloss black badges and relocate them to a same corner as M division. But only M40i., X3 will be at same position.

What do you think ?

? I think M40i will stay at that corner much propa, as our cars actually in M family selection (With X3 sign is gonna get too bulky, so it will sit at the same place)

At the start of production for the current gen the X3 and M40i badges were at the top but they moved down below I think midway though the 2018 May or so.

I personally like them down on the bottom.

Switched to black M Performance grilles on my 30d.
First time I've fitted a piece of external trim myself. Picked an easy one though!

The black grilles seem to be standard on the M Sport Plus pack in the UK now (judging by the configurator), so still sticking to OEM look.

I think it would look very unsymmetrical if you had the X3 on the bottom and the M40i up top. But to each their own. Post pics if you do do it!

Build date 06/25/2019. Mine was a custom spec that I had delivered to me at the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, SC last week.

Actually makes me wonder if there’s a method to the placement. I wish I had realized this was different on some models so that I could have asked about it when we toured the manufacturing plant.

Maybe it’s just because it’s my car, but I do too. I think it makes more visual sense to have all the badges aligned. Down doesn’t look bad, though.

I normally keep the chrome kidneys on my BMWs but they're so big on this thing that you notice that it's a lot of shiny plastic, rather than actual chrome, more.

It does look pretty mean now.
