I’ve had my 2005 3.0i X3 for 3 and a half years now. Love the car but recently had the opportunity to upgrade to a 2015 X3. The only reason I’m doing it is because I bought it from a good friend for trade in price. Couldn’t pass it up.
That being said, my old X3 is now for sale. 167k miles, I’ve done all the maintenance myself (and I’ve done everything to keep it up to snuff). No lights, no rust, 2 weeks ago I could have said it was almost perfect except now I have a minor dent on the drivers door. Also will need a set of tires by winter.
I have a spreadsheet of all the repair and maintenance items I’ve done to it. I have the Bentley repair manual, I’ve got the roof rack.
Runs great and is tons of fun to drive. When I bought it it had 90k miles on it.
