Rubber, with an oval center that allows a ton of flex in itself, let alone the rubber bushing. |

Thanks, well worth the upgrade. cant wait
EDIT: what did the company use for the bolt/nut on the test mule picture you sent? Is it still the OE units? Could it be possible to get their recommendation that works best with their new bushing? What kind of grease did they use? Any loctite? Last edited by TacosRule!; 09-09-2023 at 06:29 PM.. |

They used what they had on hand but the bushing will accept a standard m14 bolt. I put links above to a bolt, washer and locking nut that I will be using. No need for loctite or grease. |

Put me down for one. 99.9% of the time I am just cruising around like an old fart but I’m all about preventative maintenance.

Sounds excellent. Do you think the 2nd production run will batch will get a reduction in overall price... ? I'm assuming if we could get a larger batch of these made, the economies of scale might bring it down a touch. Not complaining, just looking at the big picture.

I wonder what the install process would be for these. Just saw the install video for Ryan Morard's bolt+collar solution (in the X3M FB group) and it doesn't look like something I'm equipped to handle.

The manufacturer priced these based on a 100 batch sale. We have a little over 75 people so far. And ya I understand, I did ask if there was room to lower the price a little but there doesn't seem to be any wiggle room at the moment. |

The old bushing is pressed out using a bushing press tool. Something like this: https://kinetikautotools.com/products/bmw-e39-differential-bushing-removal-and-installer-kit The new bushing is then pressed in. I saw that video as well that you mentioned. I wouldn't want to do that job. |

Assuming it's not for this differential upgrade.

Ryan Morard, on some of the FB groups ended up creating this solution, which makes it so you need to drill out the old sleeve in the rubber bushing and then replace it with a new steel one and a stronger bolt. I feel like it's easier to replace the bushing. |

Im in on this as i wanna tune to over 700hp!!! Who do i PM??
But quickly, regarding warranty. Is this something that will potential void driveline ir other warranties? Does it look stock from the outside? Guess my concern is, its fixing an issue but is it creating an issue with the purchaser if something else, perhapes completely unrelated, happens?? |
