Dropped my X3M off at the designers shop today and it should be fully complete by tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait!

The thought of the bolt snapping on me terrifies me. So I have been following this thread closely. It's really good to hear that there is no additional NVH from using a solid bushing in this location. For me that is one worry out of the way.

The factory bushing's issue is that it supposedly allows too much flex. Fine. However, the fix that's implemented here is to go to the totally opposite side of the spectrum with a completely solid bushing. What really concerns me is any unintended consequences of going full solid. We already know that area is prone to extreme flex, so getting rid of it entirely will certainly increase stress on other components. Perhaps, long term that's negligible, or at worst it causes slightly accelerated wear on the other diff bushings. No biggy. Worst case though, subframe or subframe mounting points damage.

I am not trying to poo poo over this solution at all. My warranty expires in a few months, and I would love to buy this so I don't have to worry about it. For now at the minimum, I guess I can just preventatively change out the factory bolt yearly or something. Do we have any data that will help alleviate any of my concerns?

This solution is new to our platform but isn't a new solution for this type of issue. Especially for this manufacturer. He had provided similar resolution to other BMW models with no ill effect over the years.

Install is definitely above my skill level... going to stop by the German shop tomorrow that works on my classic MB and see if they can schedule me for this.
