18” rims and msport brakes?

Does anyone know if the standard 18” rims will clear the msport brakes? Looking for a set of snows.

I just found a set of 18” rims someone pulled off their X3 and wasn’t sure if they would fit. I would stick with 19” but given the change in bolt patterns and how new they are the selection is pretty limited.

Tire Rack shows some 18" options that should work. I looked at a Sport Edition U3 wheel that is 18" x 8" and doesn't require centering rings. It just takes different lug hardware that is included. Looked at a Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip GW-3 tire in 245/55R18 to mirror the standard front tire width. Perhaps call them to verify something of this nature would clear the brakes on the X3 M40i.

With 18" the standard is 225 width, which is also he preferred one for winters...

Even though some 18" rims might clear the m sport brakes, I wouldn't count on it. Best is to try. Not sure if it's supposed to be some "good margin" in between as well.

Tire rack is a very reputable site & company and I assume they wouldn't be listing the 18s" on the m40i model if they wouldn't fit? Might be a worth a call to them to see what they say?

I have no experience with 18s on this car but I'm looking into ordering 18s or 19s for my winter setup soon.

They can't test all combinations.
If you can afford to order 18s, test, find out the hard way, return, wait, and receive 19s, go for it.
I would just go with 19 in your case.
