So I was thinking of a BM3 for my 21 x3m comp. As far as the dealership is concerned, is it more obvious that you used a BM3 versus a JB4?
I had an F80 with a JB4 and just turned it off at the dealership. Blew coil packs a few times and they never batted an eye. Should I expect the same with a BM3? (Yes I know its ultimately up to your dealership and the mood of your SA.)

But I know that they've been locking 2020-up F9x M5/M8, 2020-up G05 X5's DME. I think BM3 have the steps on how to check it on their website.

I understand of the logic having disclaimers for the cases of neglect of a user or tuner (I've been on the manufacturer side in the past), but those conditional details are suspect to me. If the tuning is that sensitive to heat and fuel grade conditions to be run on a dyno, the tune maybe too close to the threshold as a whole.....let alone say in a scenario of being stuck in traffic on an incline/altitude variance. This is something I would expect to understand the risk in the scenario of custom tune where max power is the main or only goal, but not in an off the shelf offering with a "warranty".

Wow, a 21 page thread..... this is a case where I will go on faith and take your word on it and not "dyno" it...

yes, exactly. they basically tell you that dyno will void their warranty to scare you away from checking on their tunes gains.

I did end off holding off, will wait til I'm either closer to exiting warranty, or someone like dinan releases a tune. Had a great experience with a issue being resolved on my 335xi, but that was many years ago, so maybe that's changed.

There were a few threads on the M3/M4 forum along the S55 M2. I actually reached out to Noelle and was not impressed. They actually told me my model year uses a different crankhub, it doesn't. The shop which actually tuned my car offered both Carbahn and Noelle. They said they were going away from Noelle due to tune complaints. Take that how you will, but I'd steer FAR away from anything Noelle.
