Luckily I won't need to figure out the answer to arube1's question about whether doing a deal out-of-state is possible or not (hopefully someone else will figure it out soon). I signed on an Alpine White+Sakhir X3MC locally last night! |

I just bought a M40i out of state from an Oregon dealer via Fedex docs; not an issue...but there are no BMW dealers in MT.

Out of state acquisition.
After learning the production date was so far off I found my exact build in Alabama! My dealership (BMW Denver Downtown) had no prob working that out and charged 800 for an enclosed transport from Montgomery... well worth it

I'm actually curious as to what kind of deal the OP got considering he bought a couple months before me and he hit up the same dealers I did. The very very best someone offered me at the end of March was 4.5% before incentives.

I leased a car in New Jersey and I live in Florida. They sent a notary to my house in Florida. Signed a few documents. Had my thumb print taken (not really sure why they did that). My car arrived a few days later via enclosed transport.

I purchased my X3M from New Jersey, using a broker out of Michigan and I live in Arizona. Took longer than I'm used too, but I got done and car arrived soon after. Not sure if I'd do it again, but everything worked out.

Bought my car in NJ, shipped via enclosed carrier to me in South FL. Dealer sent notary for paperwork. Took 10 mins. Used PlyCar for transport. Expensive but very good.

Do you mind sharing the name of the shipping company you used? I am looking for someone to ship from Philly area to Orange County.
