Yet, more common than we would like to think, especially outside of US.

This video was done by a normal guy and he's pretty good at explaining his subject (iDrive). Keep an eye out on what he's done to the grill of his M235i at the very beginning...

I really wish someone here would purchase those LED floating caps! They are probably cheap looking, but would like to see just in case.

That was a really fast install. I tried the tape method (both duct and packaging) to remove the original hubs but that didn’t work so I ended up using a small flat head screwdriver with tape around the head to avoid marking the wheel. They stick out a little more in the center rather than sitting flush (they have to) but I think it actually adds a little more dimension to the wheel. You can see in the pic the original hub on the left and the floating hub on the right. Please excuse my very dirty car.

Thanks! Looking great! Fit is not an issue since no one's going to notice except you. There has to be a tiny gap to let the cap stay stationary without being forced to rotate with the wheel.

Hey @BMWZ4 did you get a chance to test out this mod yet?

I put them on my summers...duh...should've put them on my winters but just popped them in, then realized I'd have to pop 'em out blah blah...so, yeah not until early April.

Video looks great though

I've had my set for 3 months and even blacked them out but they don't fit my wheels

So I'm holding on to them until I get the itch to get new wheels and hopefully they are compatible

LOL - you need to choose wheels based on whether they will fit those floating caps
