Cool car. I was surprised by how entertaining the 370z was on a test drive, I'm sure this car will be a great one.

I beat the shit out of those cars!! Had all the bolt-ons and Jim Wolfe computer on the 91 with a boost controller. Supercharged the 03 with all bolt-ons. I honestly can't remember having an issue with either car. Always loved taking the T-Tops off in the 91. Had the JL Audio stealth box shooting down in the well with a couple Soundstream amps. That shit was loud. HA HA HA. Good ol days |

Looks great can't wait to drive one.
Wheel gap easily fixed with Ohlins.

This car is so much better designed than the new 2 Series.
It goes on my shortlist.

At least that's one common failure point removed.

I look forward to seeing this car in person. I imagine it will look a bit wider and lower than it looks in pics and videos. I do appreciate the clean and restrained styling which is something Toyota failed miserably on with the new Supra.
Anyone know how reliable the VR 3.0 TT motors have been since introduction in the Infiniti cars?

No where near the reliability of the VQs. Early Q50s had common turbo failures, RS400s were especially bad. 2019 and up models got updated turbos, not sure on the failure numbers for those though. Shredded serpentine belt is the other common issue.

I believe the new Z is still on the older FM platform of the previous Z's.

Its a beautiful streetcar but 400 horsepower is not needed for the street and at the same time like its predecessors will not be a good track car without many upgrades.

More I see it, the more I like the shape. It's missing all the ugly fake vents, cuts and gimmicks so many modern cars have. Just clean lines. 400hp, cheap enough, shame it's blown but what ya gonna do.

I agree, but I think pretty much anyone would realize aside from some kind of N/A V8, this car had no choice but to have a turbocharged engine to be considered competitive. I think the new Z is much better in its current state than a worked over VQ37 or no Z at all. This is the first sports car under 150k that I've gotten legitimately excited about since I bought my R8 9 years ago. If I had the space then I'd probably buy one as a long term keeper. Maybe a Nismo version when it comes...
