I have lumbar only on driver's side (Sensatec tacora red).

I'm not sure if this is the code for truck rails, but this is available in my car - S493 Storage Compartment Package

Truck rails I’m not sure, I will be taking delivery this afternoon and will share the pics soon.

Thanks for this. Please keep us posted on what you hear from your dealer. Whether BS or actually trying to do the right thing, this is the first time I've heard a rational response from a dealer - actually contacting BMWNA vs a lot of talk.

Wasn't there also an earlier response from somebody who said their dealer was going to comp them $2K for the missing lumbar? It's been awhile, so may have been wishful thinking on my part there.

Dealer assured me last week in writing that my X3 M40i with leather seats would have driver lumbar. The vehicle has arrived, which they didn't even bother to tell me, and of course it doesn't have it. I have been given the option of a credit or to order a new vehicle that will have it. Can anyone speak to how uncomfortable the seats are without it? I never adjust mine in my current vehicle and I drive about an hour twice a week, so this isn't going to be a long-haul vehicle for me. I already sold my current vehicle, but can go without for a while if need be.

Some people say its just flat without... i think there is definitely a comfort difference w the lumbar support but I could definitely see some people not minding it not being there.

For me it would be a no go due to slightly bad lower back... It also feels more sporty with it installed in a way.

They wont retrofit it. So I asked for what builds can i modify for incoming new orders.

Update from my CA for everyone on the trunk rails "I don’t believe those come on the 23 models. I checked all 7 customer orders that we currently have on site and none of them have it."

We had an ordered 2023 M40i just arrive this week and it too was missing the adjustable trunk rails. Our CA reached to BMW NA and was told that the rails are not standard on 2023s anymore.

I did not know about the removal of the levers to flip the back seats down from the trunk area. That is a bit annoying, though not as bad as losing the kick-to-open trunk.

i made a mistake and noticed i don't have the trunk rails.. i mistaked my trunk with my brothers 22 X3 lol...

so what was traditionally in the Storage Package is no longer inside of the storage package... but I don't recall hearing anything about adding the rails during ordering. ... so how do we get rails?

Guess I'll just search for a 2022 then

My wife's brand new (8/22 build) X4 M-sport 30i with Perf Sensatec has driver lumbar support. No passenger lumbar, though that is not a surprise.
