Thanks for the pics. Probably the best ones I've seen of SB. How did it look in real life??

Great! Actually the pics give a very good impression of how it looked in real. If you look at the photo I took standing in front of the car you can see that the color looks a bit more pale on the right, where daylight comes from. But overall it looked very good, especcially in combination with the oyster interior, the moonroof and the privacy glass

And everyone misses the really obvious comment ... if Martha Stewart wants it then why the heck would you!?! I may be from the UK but I still know who/what Martha is

Now if it was Katie Couric...

Got to say I was incredibly impressed that the colours just seemed to come out in the sequence they were ordered. I'd always thought that this impacted on build date (today is white, tomorrow blue etc).

Can anyone tell me what colour Regis and Oprah selected so I can avoid those too?

Doesn't hurt that its an optioned out 35i with the 19" wheels, either!

I saw a 2011 X5 in the showroom with the SB color....looked pretty darn good to me, so confirmed my choice of SB for my X3.

I have to say its looking pretty nice, tempted for I am bored with mineral silver already and i haven't ordered yet for have till end of feb for April production. Currently leaning on Alpine white.

Hi darskiczd,

Sorry for the late reply. I ordered mine on Friday, January 21st (just met the production date entry) for delivery at the end of February; so roughly 5 weeks. That said, this is my 2nd BMW (bought an '11 Z4 last year) and the estimated delivery date was off by just under 2 weeks, so am expecting this car to be off by a week or two possibly.

Sparkling Bronze is difficult to photograph but is a great color in person. I spent a while playing with the settings in my camera to get this shot.

I could not be happier with the sparkling bronze color. It definitely sets my X3 apart from the standard silver and beige vehicles on the road.

Yeah,

its finally here... here are the details and pics...

July 7 - I placed an order with the dealer at New York
July 12 - Dealer placed an order with BMW and gave me Production no
July 25 - Went into production - got my VIN
Aug 02 - Production completed and car shipped
Aug 03 - Car arrived at the dealer !!!
Aug 05 - Took delivery

Just took some pics and realized Bronze Metallic is the MOST difficult color to capture!
