No passengers in any of the cars. Only drivers.

Homie? I knew what you meant… but that isn’t what’s being discussed here. I know people with cars making waaaaaay more hp than we’re talking here that don’t have built transmissions. You’re taking out your ass “homie”.
Well those people are idiots then!! Going to cost you way more money when you blow that Trans. People hey, stupid people do stupid things right. Merry Christmas

I don’t think they’re idiots… just platforms with robust gearboxes. Merry Christmas to you as well. On a side note, the X3 in this thread is fast regardless of build trans or not.

I agree it's fast. I love it. I'm just saying anyone that has pushed limits on turbo cars know that the tranny should be done. My brother over built his GTR tranny for that reason. I would not want that repair/rebuild if some one blows there M3/4 X whatever tranny when running 800 horse. That could damage all sorts of components.🤮 I like the piece of mind. I want to drive the car full tilt and not be worried it's going to go boom. Some still have:-) Hopefully no one will have that happen.

Totally respect your position, and opinion regarding that. Makes sense obviously… I was just stating to date, I haven’t heard of anyone having trans issues with this platform hovering around 700-800hp. I think the new G80/82 platforms are experiencing higher failure rates but they’re making a bit more power too it seems.

I’m still running stock trans, but the rear diff is not happy. I will be replacing it in January as well as we turn the car up on the bigger turbos.

I’m looking at doing trans when I go for rods and pistons. But in all honesty my only issues are rear diff which stock cars are also experiencing.

The driveshaft/axels and rear diff will let go before the trans does.
