Is there any news on Driving Assistance Professional Package coming to the 30i variant? I find it bizarre it's available on the M40i. This isn't the case with the 3 series so I'm curious.

Not sure what you meant when you said it isn't the case with 3 series. Non M G20s don't have driving assistant professional available either.

My understanding is it’s a supply chain issue where they removed the option from the lower models.

I remembered configuring it on my non M G20 two years ago. Just checked online and noticed it was removed. That's bizarre.

Ah that stinks but I can understand why that's the case then. I can't imagine that's helpful with auto pilot functionality being a differentiator in the marketplace though. For example, Volvo's system is pretty great (my partner has it on his XC60 from a few years back) and it's definitely not an "M equivalent" car.

Its removed due to the current ongoing chip/manufacturing shortage going on right now.

From those snapshots I feel like the Daylights on the LaserLights wont look as aggressive as the Adaptive Headlights do on the X3

Are you a current gen X3 owner with adaptive headlights?

Just curious on your comment above...

Both the grill and headlights look exactly the same size and shape. The kidney grills aren’t even touching one another. What am I missing here?

Plus, it’s very hard to believe that the exhaust tips are still round, and not angular/rectangular like the X5.

My guess this is a planned attempt by BMW throw people off. It’s really a guised up current 2021 X3 M40i. It’s not an LCI, in my opinion.

Grill looks the same (good news to many I'm sure). The headlights look to be the new laser light style you can see in the X5. I'm not sure how it performs versus the X3's current LED's, so to most it will probably be more of an aesthetic change than anything else. Personally, I prefer the current hexagon shape they use, but I know some will also prefer the newer, squished look.

I staring at the Carscoops page on one screen and the BMW website on another screen. I can't even see any difference in the bumper or lights. I only notice a difference in the angel eyes.

Smart move by BMW here. No reason to over-tweak the best selling model in its segment. Save that for the next gen.

Glad I snapped up a 2021 at a deep discount. Don't get me wrong, the 22 looks great but it's almost identical

Interior is also being carried over from what I'm hearing. Just like the 5 series and X2 LCIs did.

I am pretty sure interior will have the 3 series center console and climate unit as its been captured on the x4. And i strongly believe X3 LCI and X4 LCI interiors will be alike.

And thats big enough cleanup of the interior to me
