First impressions of Ben\'s (r33_RG sport) midpipe

I was lucky enough to be one of the first few to pick up Ben's (r33_RGSport) mid pipe. Let me tell you it's worth every penny. It's crafted to perfection!
Sounds beautiful, no obnoxious burbles; just beautiful bark after a shift. I will get a cold start video in the morning and some rev's. But believe you me it's definitely a must have!!

Let me compile the video ASAP.

But in the meantime, this is mine. Akrapovic with the midpipe.

I feel like I am missing something here? All I see on the RGSport website is the Akrapovic Titanium Evolution Link Pipe Set for BMW F97. Does Ben have his own version of a midpipe and sell it? Sorry can't view the video at work if it explains it in there.

Sounds like it might not be ready for sale yet.

Yes, this is a colab work with one of the known company in the industry.
I haven't list it yet since it barely finished.
But, I do have pricing already and will start taking pre-order soon.
If you want to DM me your location, I'll give you a quote.

Looks nice. I want to keep my factory resonator but remove the secondary cats soon. So I'll have to figure out something at that point.

I love all these options we are getting, thank you Ben!

That said tell me I’m crazy because I might be, why is no one addressing the fact that the exhaust is not equal length? Is it just my ears that can hear it?

Don’t get me wrong, this sounds really good, but it doesn’t sound quite like an inline 6 should it’s off just a little. Perhaps that’s just the style now?

Why do you want to keep the resonator?

Yea, it is by a foot. Mostly on the downpipe side.

The new G80/G82 M3/M4 is even worst.
One of the downpipe cross over to the other side before it connect to the midpipe.

Simply because cancels out & eliminates some of the harsh frequencies at certain RPM's. Not saying it's at all raspy, it's just a touch less aggressive with the factory resonator still in place.

If you make a shorter version I may be interested. Or maybe it will still be cheaper to buy one of yours & simply modify it touch to bolt up behind the factory resonator (instead of paying a shop to cut out the secondary cats & fabricating connecting tubes while retaining the factory resonator).

That's what I'm thinking too. Wish there was a second option & shorter version of this for those that want to retain the factory resonator. I know most like to remove it & I'm the black sheep in that regard. LOL
