Haven't tried it there yet because the wipers blades leave a film of rubber on top of the coating. So not exactly sure how this stuff might perform there yet.

What I end up doing is to use the damp microfiber towel to go over dry water spots when I get home. Don't go crazy drying it at the car wash. Always drips from mirros and rear glass after leaving the car wash.

A poster here, forgot who sorry, noted that there is a weep hole on the spoiler.
To combat the ninja water, he puts a small piece of tape on it while washing and takes it off when drying is complete. I have the same thing on my 2020 - it's even more annoying when you spend 4 hours detailing it yourself |

I can't take credit, but apparently there is a small weep hole under the spoiler (look for where water leaks out).
The poster stated he just put a small piece of tape over it while washing to keep water out. I would use blue, green, or better yellow tape. Though I'm sure regular masking tape would be fine too. I have not tested this myself so please post back if it works. I always forget to try when I wash the X3! Just make sure you remove the tape after it is dry. |

Hard to see in the pic but isn't that the hole where the washer fluid comes out when you activate that? If so, it's hard to believe that the amount of water that comes out of mine is only entering there.

However, the poster stated that is where water is leaking after a wash. Could be next to the washer jet or same hole? |

Seems unlikely that ALL the water is entering there thru that hole, you would have to spray upwards for a long time. I think the water gets in between the body parts and then leaks out that hole. From the installation pics for the flow through spoiler for example, the tape and adhesive doesn’t make a continuous seal around it like it does around like the shark fin antenna cover. Water seeps in and then has to drain out. Taping over the hole seems like it would have the opposite effect and stop water from draining. Dunno though.

That's just where the water exits after a wash. One of the posts says to cover it with tape before washing and it helps but the amount of water that pours out of mine after a wash is certainly not getting in from there. I will try it but I don't think it's going to help, personally.
