Bms intake o ring
Finally had some time to put my intakes in yday. Didn’t break the black clips somehow and installation was going great until I had to put the o ring gaskets in the new intake piping. The smaller piping fits perfect but the other gasket is way too small for the piping.
I went to six stores and no has the correct size that allows the intake to fit properly. Anyone else have this problem ?!!? Called support but they said it will take a couple of days since burger motorsports has to be involved. Truck is stuck at my parents house since I started the project there. Did not want to reverse everything I had already done but the situation sucks. I believe it’s a 3 inch o ring but getting the correct width is very difficult. Advanced auto and autozone have high school students working and were absolutely no help in finding anything I could use. Called support for xph and they have been very very helpful. Great customer service. Last edited by evoix; 11-23-2023 at 07:27 AM.. |

Rly Dumb question here: are you sure that’s the right end of the BMS tubing? Have you tried flipping the pipe around and connecting that 3” part to the filter and the other end to the inlet?
Edit: so the O-ring you have is the correct diameter, but not thickness? IIRC the O ting I used looked as thin as yours and I haven’t had any problems >15k miles later Last edited by cutnsew; 11-23-2023 at 07:32 AM.. |

Yea. Thats the only side of the intake that has the groove for the o rings and the metal cut out for the clips. The other end doesn’t have the cutouts for the oem metal clips to lock into. The o ring they sent is the right thickness but not the correct diameter. I even tried taking out the oem o rings but they are very different in design and do not fit either. This is the side that fits perfectly and locked in place already. |

Ohh Gotya. I misunderstood your post. That sucks. Hope you can source a correct diameter one soon. Maybe a hardware store? Good news is once the intake is on you’ll love it

Itching to drive with them on. Was so tempted to just slap them on but it would bother me everyday. Kind of neurotic lol

Honestly I think you would possibly have an air leak from the lack of having a good seal going directly to the turbo. Thats going to cause a boost leak. Last edited by evoix; 11-23-2023 at 08:53 PM.. |

put a little oil on it and push that bad boy in.... you'll get a possible boost leak...
