Traded my 2022 M40i today for my 2023 X3M. Sapphire Black with Sakhir Interior. Couldn't be happier. Drove 250 miles home. Full front PPF and ceramic scheduled for December 7th. Seats are extremely comfortable after a 3 hour drive home. I had the privilege of bringing my 84 year old dad along for pickup(my wife wasn't nearly as interested). Dealer installed Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Seasons for me so I have a new set of Michelin 4s's If anyone is interested.
Glad to be a part of the M club again. I originally had a Comp planned, but the non comp is more than enough for my family after numerous sports cars/ M cars. I got plenty of looks on the way home…and some taunts by Mustangs. I now have 250 miles on her so plenty is planned once break in is complete. |

The non-comp / base X3 M packs tons of punch and will still knock your socks off in all regards. Congrats & enjoy her!

Congrats OP on your new X3M! BSM looks great, the only thing I would do is get the oem black grills, side vents, exhaust tips and X3M black badging from IND. I did that on my 2020 X3M non comp and it just looks so much better.

Thanks! I actually ordered the black grill and side vents from IND before I even picked up the X3M! Haven't installed them yet. I'm torn…the chrome actually doesn't look as bad on BSM as I thought it would!

Appreciate everyone's comments! Takeaways so far: Seats are more comfortable than the base/M40i seats. I was hesitant after reading some reviews about the bolstering. No issues what so ever with the 3 hour ride home yesterday. WOW Merino leather. I had Sensatec in my M40i so no comparison there.
Ride quality is awesome. Granted, I had All-Seasons put on before pickup so I never even drove it with the Michelin Summers(it won the tire lottery). This wont be my daily driver, and will be weekend/trip use. It's already dipped down into the 20's a few times here in SC but we rarely see snow, so an all season makes sense for me. I'd dare to say ride quality is better than the M40i. It also wasn't missing anything from the factory. It was just built last week, and has the kick to open tail gate feature, and the digital key. |

Congrats man! In the second pic I glanced fast and thought the parking space line was some funky front spoiler and was momentarily concerned for you, lol. Love the Sakhir Orange interior

I appreciate all of the replies everyone! It truly is fantastic. I'm lined up next Wednesday to drop off for full front PPF, window tint, and full ceramic with Ceramic Pro's new Ion product.
I'm torn…I literally ordered ALL of the black pieces. Side vents, front grill, black X3M badge, and black exhaust tips. And now after seeing it in person….I don't hate the chrome parts at all. I actually like that the exhaust tips stand out more..especially since it's BSM. Anyone care to chime in on whether to leave the chrome or remove it? Thanks again for the replies! |

Congrats. Good move on the AS4s
I am for the all black look and do not like chrome personally but it is your call.
