Anxious to learn what variants of the next X3 will likely be available here in the U.S. A "smaller scale" version of today's X5 45e would be perfect for our use case...give me 30-40 miles of pure electric range but utility of the ICE for longer highway trips.... Here in the Midwest, charging infrastructure is pretty sparse. Timing s/b about right for "retirement" of our '15.5 Volvo V60 CC....

This is probably the latest update on the spy shots, which show the parts of the interior.
https://www.motor1.com/news/630417/2...ed-first-time/ Looks like the glass controls are coming to it, much like how the G2X is supposed to also get glass controls in MY24. |

Our spy sources believe an official debut will happen in the late stages of 2023. That likely means the next-gen X3 will debut for the 2024 model year. |

Not that I think they'll do quad pipes on an M40, but BMW is blurring true M lines enough I could almost see them do it.

It seems like that would be kinda soon since the LCI was just last year.

My interpretation is, and I think yours too, let me know, is BMW will announce the G45 in Q4, say at a venue like the LA Car Show in Nov, and SOP will be March ‘24 as as ‘25 model. |

Not a fan of any of the design aesthetics, TBH, but especially that gaping maw front and the “arrow” DRLs. We’re about to order a 2023 M40 and super glad to be getting it before they ruin it, like the 4 series…or even the 3 series for that matter.

Thanks for sharing, Tim@codemybimmer.
Encouraging to see it sans pano and with an apparent clean redesign of the forward roof rails which now appear to extend all the way to the windshield. Current model rails awkwardly stop 2-3/4" (70mm) before reaching the windshield and then adjoin dull rubber/plastic molding which runs along the windshield sides. This hopefully should now allow a straightforward option for roof rail deletion with painted strips instead so we can finally have a true slick top possibility. |
