Quick question: was full screen ever feasible in the F26 e.g. 2018 model? In the 2021/2022 cars e.g. 4series the full screen is enabled with carplay as I saw in the showroom. I have somehow im my memory that I had full screen in my F26 and it got reduced after a service/warranty case where i brought the car to the dealer is it possible that the unit system got updated through BMW and led to recuced carplay display usage or is my memory playing funny and it was never the case?

2020's support car play? I thought 2021 and up was when that started.

I'm relatively new, but my friend had enabled FS carplay in my other friends M40i and had this issue, so far we attributed it to needing to update the iDrive version IIRC. Might be something worth looking at.
