I placed my order beginning of Nov for a 2023 x4 x30i and just found out today that the car is in transit from the factory but the dealership had to remove my parking assistance package due to supply shortage. I don't think I recall seeing that the parking plus isn't available for production in Nov? If so, does anyone know if this is impacting current and future orders?

Thanks for posting this information, was just about ready to place an order; think I will wait until more is known about the Parking Plus availability.

Did you hear from any other posts that the parking assist might not be available? I see it available on other cars that are in transit or scheduled for production. What im not sure is I don't know if the dealership was just fooling me by giving me other's cancelled order and telling me it was removed due to shortage.

Earlier this evening I was looking at inventory on Car Guru's and a lot of X3's in transit are listed as having the Parking Package, that's all I have to go by at this time.

Looks like the dealership was fooling me

It's available for the 30i on the online configurator. It was not previously because of shortage and was limited to the m40i and above. It's crappy of them to remove stuff, the factory would remove it if it wasn't available or delay production till all parts are available for the vehicle.

I think it had always been available for the X4s. The availability for X3's changes.

sorry missed the part abt it being an x4.. was looking at the x3 ordering guide.. it does show up as available for the x4 both m40i and 30i

PAP is currently available on the x3 30i when you do the online configurator

I ordered the X3 on the 20th of December, the parking assistant plus was available and can be seen in my bmw when viewed through the page manager.

I do not know, the status of the order does not change for two weeks, perhaps due to the holidays. So it stands in 112 position.

I bought a '23 X3 xDrive30i towards end of Oct that has PAP. As it has Tanzanite Blue, I have no doubt this was someone's cancelled order that I took.

I would not buy another car w/o surround cameras now that I've experienced it.
