Thanks for posting! While I'm interested in buying one, I can't say it looks that good on that pic. Okay I hate black wheels and they never make a car look better IMHO. But it just looks too much like a normal X3, especially with the exhaust tailpipes being blacked out as well, so they're more subdued and the car looks a little bit dull. But however, it's just one pic and I'm sure it will look better in person of course.

Thanks for sharing, Petro914. Curious why it's 'in the wild'? Are these BMW Execs or Engineers using them as real world beta testers? And why go to the trouble of blacking out the badges when it would attract less attention to just spend 5 min de-badging, unless it's purposed marketing to pique curiosity?
Still wondering whether they opened up the fake Breathers - not so much for wheel well turbulence for which they were initially designed, but rather to allow engine compartment air to evacuate at high speeds. In the video by SVR Lead Designer Wayne Burgess he indicated their SVO team found at vehicle speeds greater than 150 mph additional methods for removing this air is needed, so in addition to the top hood vents (which the Stelvio and Trofeo also have), they also use the side vents for this compartment's air [starting around 35 sec into the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=oWG3LBPH8eE ]. So far I haven't been able to tell how BMW has addressed this issue with the M's design elements I've seen so far, which looks quite similar to the G01's hood. |

So far from the pictures, the only one I like was X4M in red. But then I can't pass the look of rear light. I am with some of people here, for M versions these are too plain.
For some reason, I like Chris Bangle SUV design compare to Adrian V. Hooydonk, the original E53 X5 and E71 X6 still look good over the years now. I am a believer that ID (Industrial Design) has culture bias, no offense but to me North America is the Mecca of SUV |

Is the picture just bad or are those seats really that dirty and worn looking?

That X3M isn't old enough to look like that.

Someone had some dirty coveralls on when they got in there. White paint looks ok but I think this car needs some color. Black will be good but dat upkeep.
Anyone get any pics from Sebring? Wasn't it supposed to be there? |
