What does the M Driver's package add? I understand it adds M School, deletes the top speed limiter, and moonroof deletion? I did notice the drop in dollars of the Exec package when adding 7ME and was wondering why it dropped..

Both of those can't be true. So despite what Genius and BMWNA are saying, as others have said until we see the ordering guides and the site up, have to think this is all speculation.

Lack of HK Surround Sound and ability to delete pano from Exec with 7ME as we did with the 2020 X3MC will def be a no for us on this round, so hopefully we'll get actual details soon.

Exactly that.

BMW may think few want a lighter roof (without the heavy pano that adds weight to the worst possible location for CG effects), but suspect more would order if it wasn't so difficult to delete the glass. Its the only reason we're considering trading my wife's X3MC with its $3,000 CF Diffuser and BavSound speaker upgrade. That we would choose to trade it in for the LCI strictly for a clean roof indicates how different our perception of the handling has been between mine without the pano and hers with.

ChipC - I agree with 340iRN about extending lease 3-6 months - if you yell loud enough. And I will admit what I would do: They'll always extend lease once you have prod #. Then when car comes in decline it - its not what you ordered. You'll still maintain extended lease - and by then get a build hopefully with what you want and order! Devious? Perhaps - but the way BMW is playing the game - I would not hesitate - this is all B.S. from BMW. Or, Plan B would be to have dealer upgrade the audio system and charge back BMW. Had something similar once with Mercedes (C43 AMG) - wrong color seat belts then specified! Cost someone over $1,000 to replace and install - I refused the car until they did it.

Agree. They should be retrofitting the laser lights, wireless charger, and the stereo system after the fact

Perhaps I am in the minority but the lowly led lights are still better than most cars out there and at my age I am not exactly slamming bass in my car. I almost never have the radio on.
The idea that I will be receiving a credit more than smooths it over for me.

I'm with you on this.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and sometimes music, so the Hi-Fi hopefully won't be an issue. I couldn't blast the music with the HK on my outgoing M3 anyways because it sucked. I rather have the discount too (I applied part of it towards my wheel upgrade! Haha)

0 interest in laser lights. LED are cool enough and I really haven't seen a substantial improvement in lighting that has changed my driving since I switched from halogen to xenon. But hey, I haven't tried laser. Ignorance is bliss!

As for wireless charging, it's slower than a turtle. I rather plug the cable.

Digital key id like to have for emergencies, but no biggie either.

What I think looks really cool is the fob that have a screen, I think they get them in Europe but not here. What a pity.

I would love to have the shadow line package without M Competition, but I'll take care of that once the part numbers are available!

I have on my X4MC here in Canada. It's pretty bulky. It's a cool look at my key convo but that novelty is gone after a week and it has been sitting in a drawer since. Pretty useless as a daily key. You are not missing anything by not having it.

Just got off the phone with BMWNA and the gentleman "Chris" said still no option for calipers but that can change later.

He is seeing laser headlights as an option, remote start, and Harmon Kardon is still there. Configurator will be at the end of July.

Didn't care for wireless charging so I didn't asked that and forgot to ask about the cf package. 🤦🏻*♂️

For what is worth, my guy (who is an enthusist as well) said typically bmwna lets them know about removed features and he has not seen an email yet. He emailed a contact at corporate and I'll circle back once I hear from him.

those cheeky bastards… the harmon kardon stereo logo (silver trim underneath the door speaker) has been edited out. the original picture on the bmwusa website still has it.

If anyone had any doubts about what system you'llget, I think this is a strong indicator. Bmwusa image is from the release, Insta is from yesterday.
