Thumbs up 2021 BMW X3M Competition

Hey guys,
I have been looking to fine X3M Competition with Alpine White exterior, but none in Chicago area.

I got a quote from a local dealership to order a 2021 X3M Competition.

MSRP $82,850
Savings: $4000
Selling price: $78,850
Finance credit: $750

what do you guys think? It seems like there's no finance incentives in October though..

Thanks

2020 MSRP $80,845. End of September deal.
New 33 miles on X3M: Dark Gray, Ex-Package, Driver-A+package, 21 Wheels, Sun Roof, Heated Steering, M sport seats with ventilation seats.
I could not lease or forfeit work car allowance
Discount:8,185-
Rebates:5,500-
New Sell Price $66,860 before sales Tax.
Fees $468 then tax below.
Had a paid off trade they gave me a-higher offer than 3 other dealers and one wholesaler They would not match at first stand off at 1,500 dollars. Total sales tax paid on deal was under 2k
Also offered 0.9% 60 months. Or 1.90% for 66 to 72 loan was small amount.
I like the X3M but gets horrible gas mileage, not like my old V10 M5. Still surprised they make a SUV that gets this kind of fuel mileage in 2020.lol

My M5 was $1285/mo with $2K down on a $125K sticker, so nope!

So trying to locate another dealership and find a 2020 laying of the lot. The BMW website seems to only allow a search in 100 mile radius. Is there a better way to hunt for 2020's around the country?

That's a ripoff. Charging you full MSRP plus $1100 in useless marked up add-ons. They should be around $69-70 before TTL. Anything more than that walk away.

This looks like the original "deal" bmw of pleasant grove in Utah tried to give me. Literally lied and said the 2020 had no credits, tried to get a 5grand down payment, full msrp and like 1300 a month. Asshats.

I feel like I know the answer, but is this offer any good? What would be reasonable of me to expect? This is my first time leasing and have been doing some research/reading on a bunch of the different factors, but would appreciate some help applying to real life Thanks!

If you want to take over my lease for a 2020 X4M Comp with all the options (MSRP was like $86k) and with 10k miles allowance at $907/mo, it's yours. Currently have 2800 miles and 32 months left (850 miles/mo left). Let me know.

Discount on a 2020 should really be at least 10% (if not 15%) before rebates but you choose how much you want to push that depending on inventory and how much you want the car.

Make sure you get the money factor they are using as dealers are allowed to mark it up for additional profit. If you have good credit you should be getting the base MF which I think is currently 0.00099 (but see Edmunds forums to check). You can make this a sticking point if they have it marked up. Some dealers won't budge (no deal IMO!) and some will just say, no problem bringing back to base MF.

Also, shoot for minimal down as down payment is only pre-paying down the lease payment and doesn't affect interest charged. Some will say if you total a lease with large amount down, you are at risk to lose that.

Thanks! According to the Edmunds forum, MF should be .00082. The same dealer gave me a quote on a 2021 X3M40i using a MF of .00122, which I guess is the max they can mark it up and it should be .00082 as well. I’m getting a little frustrated seeing some of the deals others are getting and then comparing that to the offers I’m getting... I don’t know if that’s a side effect of being in a medium sized city with only 1 BMW dealer. The sales guy told me they were anxious to get rid of that X3M, but the offer sure doesn’t seem like it. Maybe I need to start looking to other cities.

Go a few 100 miles south they will even ship the cars to you at no charge. They are working deals
You can leverage them against your dopey overpriced dealer. Service doesn’t matter all BMW shops will take you and 99% will give you a loaner even if you did not buy from them. Good luck.

Cool, thanks!

Just to make sure I understand correctly, the MF should be .00082 before having to do any security deposits, and then security deposits can lower it beyond that... is that correct?

Yes, ask about multiple security deposits, or MSDs. Traditionally, BMWFS has allowed up to 7. I did it on all my Bimmers, save for the F80. It's money that basically just sits in trust for you, and knocks down the monthly (effectively lowering the MF). It's yours at lease end, minus any deductions for wear and tear, overage miles, etc. Also yours if the car is totaled at any point. Imho, if they allow them, they are a no-brainer for this kind of lease. Here's some basic info about them:

Is 5% off MSRP (before incentives) realistic for a 2021 X3M purchase (not lease)? What’s the profit margin? If not, what’s an “okay” discount right now?

I’m ready to buy from any Cali dealer if anyone knows one that can sell a 2021 fully loaded X3M at around 5% off MSRP!

Thanks in advance everyone!
