I got a recent quote from local BMW dealer on my $80k MSRP 2020 X3MC with 23k mi on it: $68k which is a tick more than I paid for it in April 2020. I'm not going through with it because I can't replace it with anything I want for reasonable cost.

Yes, buy out or sell to dealer at lease end.

Definetly buy it at the end of lease term and sell it on facebook marketplace, vroom etc.
You gonna need that profit towards the current MSRP+ prices on the new car.

I just dislike the taxes you have to pay on the buyout / purchase. Here in CA it's $7 k + for a roughly $70 - 75 k market value car.

Man a 2020 X3 Comp by me is going for $73K. Toronto Red Metallic w/ 25k miles seems too steep for a 2020.

Although that's a touch high with those miles on it that does seem about right in this crazy car market we're stuck in. The 2020 X3 M Comps with 1-2k miles on them go for $75-78K. So this one falls in line with that overall pricing strategy. That's still a lot of dough for car with 25,000 miles on the clock.

March X3 M Lease Numbers?

Hi all. I’m hoping to go in next week and negotiate a new X3 M Comp lease deal. Before doing that, I’d like to know the latest March numbers if anyone could kindly share them.

Specifically,
Base MF
12k Residual
Loyalty and/or Lease Credits
Should I really expect to pay MSRP? (I’ve got a half dozen dealers within range to shop) and my usual target is 4-5k off MSRP before any incentives on a car in this price range.

Any and all help appreciated!

I have been lucky getting dealers to sell at MSRP, most want 10k premium.

I believe residuals stayed the same vs February. MF, on the other hand, is now 0.00158.

Your negotiation right now is on a trade-in. If you find someone willing to sell under sticker consider yourself lucky.

Thanks. So MF now .00178 base rate?

And is max MF markup by dealer still + .0004 ?, so potentially .00218 ?

Lastly, last I checked last year, MSD (Multiple Security Deposit) reduction was minus .00004 per security deposit. Can someone confirm that's correct still? With a max of 7 MSD's.

Thanks

Bought a fully loaded 21 X3Mc almost exactly one year ago for 10k under sticker. Fast forward to today and the dealer wants 12k OVER sticker for a lesser build on a 22. Crazy times...

Appreciate the response, but now I'm left wondering.

Since my original post asking, I received a PM from reputable source indicating that March base MF was .00158, with potential max dealer add of .0004 bringing it to .00198 max. Are you confident it's otherwise?

I'd sure feel better knowing my numbers are correct before heading in to negotiate in the next few days. The MSD stuff I'm comfortable with because I found a confirming BMW source.

Thanks again.

Doesn't sound promising for me then, but hoping for better news in the coming days. Time will tell...

Just this last August I was pleasantly surprised with the discount I received from my preferred multi-repeat dealer when leasing my wife's 2022 X3 M40i, and I hoped that was around the peak of this whole supply chain/high demand/low supply BS. With MSRP + pricing like you mentioned, I'll have to reevaluate what I really want for my next car, and how badly.

It recently was increased again. TBH the easiest thing I've found is to openly ask what the current base MF is as it is not set each month but moves more fluidly and rates are increasing much faster right now. From there you can find out if they are marking up - when you start asking these questions I've never had a problem finding what the current rate is.

I know what the base MF was in January when I bought my X3M comp - I've posted that here. I know it has jumped significantly since mid January. I don't know what it is now - I confirmed the max markup as was asked.
It's pretty simple to ask basic questions on base money rate and what they are marking up - do your own math with those numbers and the truth will be found easily.
