They don't take the keys out of them .. They are on a ship or in a secure compound

I have a limited experience of seeing these compounds in action .. There can be thousands up thousands of cars on site ..

Can you imagine walking around the site with a box with a thousand sets of keys in it .. All the while no other driver can find his car ...

But is it here? don't forget my dealer told me mine would be with them by the end of week and that was on 20th March!! He must have received something to prompt the email to me as it came out of the blue

I spoke to my dealer today .. He said it appears to be on its way .. But that they cannot see which ship/route it is on

The system shows it consigned 26/3 .. With delivery to dealer wk 19 .. That hasn't changed since before it was built

I believe him ( I think) when he says they have no idea where it is or when it will arrive until the system updates and shows it here !

So frustrating !

Just recieved an email from my dealer with my registration number and saying the car will be ready to collect on the 27th April I'm not really complaining but BMW CS said it left the USA on 9th April, unless it came by plane it left way before that! I've had it confirmed by a charming lady at BMW CS that it's in the country and on it's way to the dealer

This thing is a massive adjustment after my Honda. Very quiet, smooth and great inside.

Head up display amazing. Already don't like shifting eyes down to old dials. All cars should have this feature.

Above all else the power delivery is so linear. I have had V8 M3's in the past. This couldn't be more different. It give no sense of punch or drama until you look at speedo and realise how quickly it is putting on speed. Sort of opposite of a sports car.

Adaptive suspension just right bouncy for pot holes and tight for bends when selected.

Very happy so far but not many miles yet.

Glad to hear it was worth the wait. Only nine days till I get mine I'm sure I'll give it the same positive report.
