I was a bit down that I didn't get the CF as of late, but I really like the aluminum. Now I'm adding bits and pieces of CF (mirror caps and steering wheel trim done and maybe the shifter trim) which gives it more attention I think.

This piece looks good though.

The weave goes in the opposite direction of OEM which would piss me off lol

Where did you buy the console trim and was it difficult to install? I don't recall seeing any threads on the carbon fiber console trim.

they're all over aliexpress. it's an ABS plastic piece that sticks on top of the original trim. $30 or so.

I thought about getting it but figured it wouldn't look good at all. surprised that it looks better in that photo.

Here’s my thing. If a real CF piece is needed for weight reduction or strength that makes total sense. If it’s a cosmetic part I really don’t care that it’s ABS. Sure it’s cool to say “That’s real Carbon Fiber” but it serves no real purpose in my mind except to drain your wallet. I got real CF shift paddles as I wanted the extra strength but most other cosmetic stuff in my car is ABS. The difference in the console cover is 80 bucks vs 900. I’d rather put the extra 820 in go-fast parts, not cosmetic stuff but to each his own.

Exactly my thoughts. Tacking on $30k in carbon fiber stuff on a $400k Lambo is one thing. But spending thousands on carbon fiber for a $75k suv doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Sure, it does look nice but to your point I'd rather have a nicer looking set of wheels with better tires or a tune and a lowered vehicle. And if you wanna reduce weight by going carbon, buy a different vehicle

I'm pretty sure this real CF and not just an overlay. Fingers crossed!

For me personally, with my ocd I prefer for it to match with the rest of the interior trim pieces.

Anyone interested in taking my spot? Long story short, allocation was taking a lot longer then I expected and something came up and needed a daily sooner. Ended up with a different SUV. As soon as I receive it from them I’ll ship it out on my expense. I will not even open it once it comes from vendor. Shoot me a PM if anyone is interested.
