Just installed the steering wheel!

Everything seems to work here is a short video of the auto cruise:

Definitely a chunkier wheel now :]

I like everything except for the seemingly tacky gold on the outside

Hopefully that's removable

Very nice build, i'm actually digging the gold details haha!

The idea with the 7series idrive controller seems very interesting! Where did you get it and how much did it cost? Did you need to program it?

It's a wrap so removable, but the unique design really highlights the contours that would have been masked by the black paint. But thank you!

Thanks! I really appreciate that. In terms of the idrive controller (7 series has chrome buttons vs black btw) here is the link:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/16-20-BMW-7...72.m2749.l2649

I brought it down to $300 flat. Install you can do it yourself, I have a post somewhere you can follow along but its self explanatory!

In terms of coding = Nil, the functionality and lighting works as plug n play.

goodluck!

BMW of M.V. where you got your car? (Used to
work there, looked familiar in your pic)

Alphawerks is the BIZ!! Jyo killed it on my last detail.

I drive a 19 M40I in NorCal as well. Cool seeing locals on here.

Sick build!

First, best of luck with the vehicle.

Absolutely love the vanity plate.

When I read the list of mods I was worried about the mud flaps, but looking at the pics those are actually well done!

The gold trim looks better than I would have thought. It definitely adds aggression and visual width. I wouldn't do it to any vehicle of mine, but different opinions is what makes life interesting so zero hate here.

The only thing else I feel compelled to add, is this vehicle is getting extremely close to (or over) the line of being overdone. There's a point where people mod too much. Be careful because you're pushing the limits. More isn't always better.

Thanks for sharing.

I really appreciate this feedback! Thank you for that :] And yes I completely agree, I'd like to think I try to keep it look as OEM as possible so its more subtle mods. Obviously the gold trims are an antithesis of that but yah I do see what you're saying!

Hoping to wrap this up after the 3d parts and hood.

Great suggestion! And thank you for the support.

Yah I thought about that as well actually, I was just nervous it would couple me too tightly with the gold theme as that might be a temporary thing and I just can't turn back once I commit since those are paint jobs vs vinyl. :]

Once the diffuser and side skirts come I think it will just be the bottom of the car that has gold and the rest I'll leave.

I'm going with just the side skirts (verified they don't hinder the entry lights..whew!) and then the diffuser (really like the fins on the side)

I believe they are incoming around mid-end of September

You need to get wheels, dude. You can't get all these mods and keep the rims stock.

hahahha i knew that would happen. ahh so i'm not sure if I told you the story but this is my second set because of the fact I cracked the first set of 20s. that set me back a lot as it was straight from the stealership.

Maybe when my funds return someday
