Win-win for me.
Yep, I'm currently shopping a few BMW dealers to see if they can get me a bump.

I found out today that my VIN was reporting back as a regular '21 X4M and not a '21 X4M Comp. They said they would re-run the numbers and get back to me.

Was it only the 20's that were having the issues with the VIN that reported the wrong model? Or 21 as well?

Seems that '21 also the same issue. VIN is coming back as "2021 X4M AWD"

It makes sense why now I was reading through and so many people on this thread were getting such higher numbers than I was for their '20s.

I could be wrong, but I believe the competition model was discontinued for 2021 in favor of a "competition package."

You are indeed correct, it's just a line item as "Competition Pkg"

Anyone got a Carvana/Vroom/Driveway/Carmax value lately? I'm seeing values of 75-80k for my 2020 X3MC Last time I got values a few months ago, these places were offereing low 60s for my car.

How many miles on your 2020 when value was quoted?

That's a good amount of dough. I think the 2020 models are exceptionally superb with the classic iD6 instrument cluster. My 2017 M2 would've also been worth $10-12 more if I had waited until this whole chip shortage / supply chain issue came about.

For the hell of it, I got a price from Vroom: $63,300.
10,000 miles (I've been driving everywhere since I bought it)

I have zero interest in selling but I think a 2020 F97 at $63,300 from Vroom is a serious lowball number.

I just checked the KBB value and it's $68,761 trade-in value as the mean, could be $71,012 on the high end. Private party could be $74,544 on the high end.

Again, I have no interest in selling so this is really just for my own curiosity. I checked about 6 weeks ago and it looks like values went up a few grand.

I should clarify my earlier post - I am getting 75-80k valuation on both KBB and NADA, with trade in values in the low 70s. I know both of those places can't be relied on to give a 100% accurate valuation, but still, the online buyers aren't close to that. Maybe their buying spree is starting to let up? Or there is slack in the market and it needs to catch up?

I don't want to sell my car but if it's worth anywhere above 70k, I'd have no choice but to take a hard look.

Here's my question… say you sell the X3M. What would you get to replace it? Dealer inventory is still near zero and way overpriced. It would only make sense to buy a new car from the factory to avoid inflated used market. Or… if you were trying to save money and "down spec" to like a non-M X3 etc.

Well that is the million dollar question. I'm considering moving down to a truck for a while and saving for a 2 door sports car. M2, M4, Cayman, something like that.
