22 X3M Question

Is it possible to set heads up display to M view when programming the M1 or M2 buttons? I remember on past M cars I owned this could be done. I can't figure it out on my 22 and have to manually press the button to get M view. Thanks in advance.

Nope. Can’t be done on the LCI I believe without some 3rd party aps.

Thank you, I figured that was the case.

I just bought a 21 X3M. What is "M view"?

Which 3rd party app are you referring to?

On a 2021, you go into idrive and where you configure your M1 and M2 buttons you can change the HUD too. M view puts a tachometer in your HUD. Annoyingly, you cannot select M view as a HUD setting for M1 and M2 on a 2022. On the 2022, BMW put a M Mode button near the gear shifter and pressing that gives you the M view in your HUD and changes the main gauge cluster to a sporty (I guess) option.
