They're pretty reputable and make very good quality exhausts, I just wished they made a midpipe for the car instead of a full exhaust
What is the advantage of having a mid pipe versus only a full exhaust? Just a personal preference? Thanks!
It's a cost effective way to change the tone of the exhaust and make it louder

If it matched the m3/m4 variant I would be all over it but it sounds status quo to the other 5 options. Pleh .... I'm kind of disappointed ☹️

Well at this point it still hasn't been 6 weeks since original post so I guess it's possible they will sell it separately.

Austin said they have no plans on selling just the midpipe

Wasn't the entire purpose of this thread the midpipe by itself?

Not sure if I would agree they are "pretty reputable".

On the E9X platform, their stuff was marketed as "Made in USA" but their valved exhausts were just rebranded alibaba crap. Some fun reading here: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1686392

They very well may have improved since but I would not support a company that started out by re-branding alibaba products as their own, lying about their construction/origin, and slapping a big markup on them.

I'm sure if enough people ask him for the midpipe, Austin will realize that there is a demand for it. When I asked him if there are any plans for a mid pipe this is what he said:
"unfortunately not, the rear muffler is super compromised so it needs to be swapped as well for the best sound experience"

I don't know what he means by the stock muffler being "super compromised"

I haven't heard that term used to describe it, but I have heard of a few people having issues with stock muffler when swapping the midpipe.

TLDR: Post was about a new mid-pipe option from Valvetronic. Does not look like that's happening.

I was excited, but forcing me to buy a full system, when the g80 gets midpipe only, made me and my friends walk away to another solution.

Yup...I know AA is a bit pricey, but a budget option is available from Kassel/Coyne if one is not looking to retain their stock mid-pipe uncut

Finally got my full Valvetronic catback. Had the ER midpipe for a while but the cold start, even valves closed, was insanely annoying and tinny sounding with the Comp muffler.
The Valvetronic system is much quieter and deeper sounding with valves closed, and just as loud as the ER after the valves are open. Sound is also less raspy and deeper.
Only complaint is the clamps that were included with the system are hot trash. The ones that hold the tips on couldn't even clamp hard enough to hold them on, and the one joining the two sections of 3.5" pipe couldn't be positioned such that it wouldn't pinch and produce a small leak.
Still would recommend overall, just budget in getting better clamps or having someone weld it up, which is the route I may go.

Video is cold start, valves closed for a few seconds, then I switch it valves open.

It's a lot cheaper than a full exhaust and the oem muffler sounds pretty good when paired with just a mp

This sounds like my AA midpipe but just a bit louder.
