Quite some updates!

Update time! (and its a lot)

I removed the OPF ( Emission reducer on EU cars ) and installed a single 3.5'' mid pipe on the car.

Reason why I didn't go for a dual pipe system is because of the ( in my opinion ) horrendous rasp cars with an S55 and S58 tend to make when replacing parts of the exhaust system.

With the single 3.5'' mid pipe system this problem got solved, I posted an exhaust clip on my Instagram @1StockX3M for those who are curious about the sound.

I also did an oilchange to Motul X-Clean 8100, after hearing positive reviews from friends with high hp B58's claiming their oil temperatures dropped significantly after using this oil. Since I had to change the oil anyway, it worth a try.

Furthermore the Continental SportContact 7 tires for the new BC Forged wheels arrived in sizes 295/265:

As well as the wheels one week later:

Because Peter of PureTurbos EU is a friend of me and really helps me in terms of parts, dyno & r&d ( and a little sponsoring ), I decided to put some Pure Stickers on the car and made some personal merchandise for the Instagram page like with my previous M140I. The black & red design will be placed tomorrow:

I also conducted some test after the fresh tires got mounted and man what a difference in grip lvls these Conti SportContact 7s offer compared to the old hard Conti 6 tires.

From rolling burnouts on launch, to hooking straight away and conducting steady 2.7-2.8s 0.60 and 10.5x on the quarter even when doing back to back runs, tested on a non prep surface.

Really satisfied with the results, the turbos do have some headroom ( 2-3psi ) left, so a 10.4 is definitely possible If I would want to, but I don't want to push that much since the upgrades will be mounted within 2 weeks and I'm keeping the stock turbo's in case I'm selling the car.

Last but not least, the PS2 turbos arrived yesterday!

I chose to go for the PS2 and not the PS2+ turbo's because the PS2+ tend to spool 300-400rpm later then the PS2's ( bigger wheels ) which is crucial on launch.

The fact that I'm missing the top end punch of the PS2+ turbo's doesn't really bother me because the most important part of a decent 1/4 is in the 60ft and 0-60 imo. I don't have the intention to build the engine either so the PS2s are the perfect way to go for me.

They will be mounted by the end of this month, I'll keep you all posted on the results after we've put them on the car!

Wow the tread blocks on those Conti 7s are massive. This is the first I'm seeing of actual photos.

Things are spicing up for sure, those are nice runs! Any ETA on when the turbos are going on??

Thanks a lot brother, appreciate it!

Compound of the tire is also quite soft if you ask me, so really happy with them.

I'll bring the car to Pure the 29th of may and probably pick her up a few days later. Got some events coming up in June both roll and dig, so I'll get back with data as soon as they're on the car!

Goal is 10.2s for now, lets see if we can make this happen

Interesting, almost all I read on here is how people hate the Conti’s and opt for Michelins instead. Like when the car is delivered they won the lottery with Michelins and lost if it arrives with Conti’s lol.

The OEM Conti SportContact 6s are what everyone hates! OP is running a new tire that was completely redesigned, the Conti SportContact 7. They have been getting insane reviews and actually outperform the Michelin PS4S. I haven't seen them hit the US yet but overseas they are selling quick

While working on the Wheel/Tire size/weight project this AM I came across this buried thread (and added his combination to it).

Bumping to see if any updates from 1StockX3M?

I can't find these tires anywhere in the US.

Would love to go with Continental since I want to switch the stock 265 to the front and just get a new pair of rear 295.

He has since traded the car so I doubt he'll pop back in here haha. He runs the same BC specs and tire specs as I do. The only difference is Conti 7 instead of Michelin PS4S

Curious on OP’s experience w/ CSC7’s, but seems that he has since moved on. Haha

It sure would've been nice to see the progress on this build.
