325's Are on....

One of my pet peeves in life is skinny tires on my vehicles. On my 2020 X4M Comp, I was told 315's wouldn't fit. I put them on and noticed there was still plenty of room left, so I went wider on this rig. Doing custom offsets and combos that haven't been done before is a learning curve.

This time around I went 21x11.5 rears with 325/30/21 Michelin Pilot SS. When I picked the car up, the tires still weren't far enough out towards the fenders. I had 15mm spacers from Ben on my stock set up while waiting for these that I had planned to sell. Since the 11.5/325 setup didn't get me what I wanted, I threw the spacers on, and for me its exactly what I wanted. Next time, I will try a 21x12 with 335s!

As it sits-

- 21x10 & 21x11.5 Vossens (With H&R 15mm spacers)
- 285/35 & 325/30 Michelin SS
- KW Coilovers (Lowered 2+)
- Bens Mid Pipe
- Ceramic
- No Rubbing, no Scrubbing

How is the ride? I spent the last few days in South Florida and the roads were rough. Looks great.

Don't ever go to L.A. if you think South FL roads are rough (I've never been on smoother/ flatter roads honestly). The ride is about the same as stock since its lowered so much. I love the stock ride, so I have the shocks on almost full firm. Zero complaints.

Some great images - thanks for sharing. Not sure you have a Strip nearby in Naples, but would be fascinating to see Qtr mile ET/trap with this setup if you're not tuned. Do you happen to know the unsprung weight differences between OEM and your current config? I'm not sure which way it'd go even if more weight if grip is better.

I really wanted to weigh them but didn't get a chance.. I can tell you the Michelins ride substantially better than the stock Conti's, there is a significant difference in grip in the corners as well. It looks really aggressive in person, so even if there was a slight increase in rotational mass, it would be worth it to me. My Butt-ometer can tell absolutely no difference. Back in 2004 I changed out my stock wheels on a new Zo6 to 20's, it literally ruined the cars performance. I immediately noticed a drastic difference in cornering, I've Noticed no change at all throwing these on.

Just curious - have you tried a softer setting with the KWs at that ride height just to see what it's like? I know you mentioned you prefer it firm but I've always wondered if you could be that low on the coil overs and dial in a comfortable ride. Not many people have given in depth reviews of these KWs.

In any event, that rear shot is something to behold!

They are believe it or not. We couldn't get the PS4S without a ridiculous wait so I went with these.

I was going to try a 295 on all four corners "square setup" with oem 765 M rears all the way around. Wonder if that would fit with the right spacers up front at close to stock ride hight. Before H&R springs are installed.

I don't think that would be an issue. I would hit Ben up, he knows his stuff.

While such wide tires are not my cup of tea, I applaud the effort here.

What offsets are you using on the wheels?
