Wow those are cool! I saw some but not the smoked.

I had my mirrors PPFed so will need to see if I can take them apart without ruing the film. If the CF caps come down in price I might consider them.

You may have cost me some money here…

Sorry about the $$s
I think you can just slice the PPF at the seams for the cap and turn signals and then it should come apart. May not have to remove it at all.

Thanks - I'll have to take a look at how the installer did it. My X3MC is Dark Graphite Metallic so CF caps might not show up as well (they are already black).

But this turn signal mod is awesome and fairly reasonably priced so will likely take a hard look at that.

Current price of these is $470 x 2 = $940 before tax and shipping

I think this mod (along with the turn signal 95wildtt has) would be awesome but $1000 for this is just too much.

If anyone sees that the price goes down again to something more reasonable please let us know.

It was good, had to slightly "trim" one place on both sides, but once that was done they fit great, look like OE, and work awesome.

Hey 95wildtt , I found another thread where BrockDM got R44 Carbon Fiber mirror caps and was very happy with them so I ordered a set. Shipping is an arm and a leg (from the UK) but still cheaper than Autotechnic (which some have had issues with).

If the OEM were more reasonable I would have go those but just too much $$$.

Anyway, I'm now also ready to buy the progressive turn signals you linked. Can you tell me:

1) Is there a video to install the CF caps on the F97? I cannot find one on YouTube

2) You mentioned you had to trim the turn signals - can you give a bit more detail?

I'm sure I can figure this out but it is helpful to have info ahead of time

Here's a video on replacing the turn signals... part of the process is removing/installing the caps and it's pretty easy, just take your time.

It's been a few months, but it seems there was an extra small lip at the bottom that I had to trim very slightly to get it to fit perfectly.

I'm sure I can figure this out but it is helpful to have info ahead of time

So I was doing research on the turn signals. I assume the Autotechnic are coming out of the same/similar factory in China with a huge markup.

I found the 2018+ G01 will fit my 2020 X3M (all the same p/n: 63-13-7-441-439 Signal Lamp, Left and 63-13-7-441-440 Signal Lamp, Right so did some searching and came up with these from China off of eBay for $34.

What I like about them is they also have a blue LED which flashes when you unlock (I'm a sucker for blue LEDs) which is achieved by tapping into your power fold motor or puddle light.

Delivery time will likely be ~1 month but gonna give them a shot (assuming I actually receive):

I’ve often felt the lack of sport in my X3MC so MUCH SPORT should do the trick!

To my surprise I received my eBay turn signals from China in about 2 weeks.

I'm still waiting for my R44 Carbon Fiber mirrors (probably also from China but good reviews) so holding off on the install until I can do it all at once.

I'm impatient so took out my 12v power supply for some testing.

I am VERY impressed for the price (~$35). I really hope they fit.

Anyway, here are a couple of quick vids showing them in action. The blue lights would happen with mirror fold/unfold assuming I can find the correct wire to tap.
