Historically, all dealers have had to abide by BMW NA's time restrictions, with the occasional car or 2 being accidentally released early and the rest being held at dealers or at the VPC. Has happened to me twice over the years, hence an August delivery would be a nice surprise but I'm not holding my breath for it.

That is the completion date, the date the vehicle rolls off the production line. There is a lot of stuff to do after that.

I expect my car to be delivered to my dealership by end of August, but maybe they hold the sale somewhere…

Regardless, if there is anything that we've learnt is that BMW PR releases are anything but precise.

Sweet! Going much quicker than my Audi RS3 order... 9 months.

Aug 5th here as well.

FWIW, here was the timeline of my X3MC back in Aug/Sep 2019:

21 Aug 2019 - Entered Production Queue
31 Aug 2019 - Entered Assembly line
1 Sep 2019 - Quality Check
3 Sep 2019 - Vertical date on the Window sticker (bottom right corner)
5 Sep 2019 - Dispatched from factory (Hurricane Dorian off the coast of SC)
8 Sep 2019 - At the Dealership in the Southeast US

Transport times vary across the US (rail, truck, weather, etc), but this gives an idea.

Nope, he was replying to a post by JP30 hoping to get delivery by Mid-August. BMW typically holds cars until the Market Launch date, even if they're built and ready weeks before that. Wish it wasn't the case but that's how BMW has operated so far.

Has your experience been with lci or strictly brand new models? I have read about a hard and fast line in the sand with brand new models but not lci. Either way it should not be too bad of a wait. At least not what I experienced with my freaggin 9 month wait.

One new and one LCI. My 1st e92 M3 was held at the VPC for 3 weeks and my X5 LCI was held at the dealer for 2 weeks, both to meet the corresponding announced launch dates.

If you've waited 9 months, 2 extra weeks should be painful but do-able :-) but yeah I hope history does not repeat itself and BMW changes its ways. I mean if they're willing to slaughter the design elements of their flagship //M cars, maybe they can also release some LCIs right after they're built!!!

I'm coming from an F80 and I tried, really tried hard to like the G80 styling but ultimately it just doesn't agree with me, and that wraps up my M3/4 ownership after 3 generations of M3s. So yeah, can't wait to get my hands on my new X3M as well!

everything is correct. I was excited about getting the vehicle midd to late august but don’t forget that there will be EPA and CARB certifications that BMW needs to get before releasing the vehicle, as well as any engineering/marketing holds that will prevent us from getting the cars early.

and with everything going on right now and how slow the govt is working, I won’t get my hopes up and assume an early sept arrival. fingers crossed that is not the case.

Totally agree looks wise I just can't buy into the G80. I like it from certain angles but I think the X3M just has a cleaner look. I also had an F80 ZCP in mineral gray and sakhir. Loved that generation.

my production is scheduled for mid of september (week 37). My dealer in Switzerland told me everything with my options is on track (laser, HK, etc) except the known wireless charging, and digital key. Hmm...
I am wondering of you guys which x3m are in production now, what will be canceled after the the x3mc is built...

We have exactly this story for UK cars, so I'm expecting laser lights and HK. That has been the story so far, only non m cars are losing HK. I think lasers in the US is a bit more of a legislative related issue, perhaps they therefore see more demand for them in other markets where they can be used to the full potential, as I understand they have to be 'turned down' in the US, meaning adaptive LEDs are just about as good from a performance POV.

Yeah us in Canada also are expecting Laserlights and HK, especially since Laserlights was put onto my order. Though we also had the option to change the calipers, but I left mine blue ($750 option for calipers)

We'll find out soon whether it makes it onto it or not when we're able to decode the VIN since mine was put in the same build week 31.

Callipers here in the UK are a no cost option, but we pay quite heavily on the base price.

Laser lights were a thought, but the LED lights on my M40i are good enough, and we don’t do a lot of night time driving out of town that much, so decided to go without.

Will be interesting if our cars follow each other down the assembly line.

Yeah, laser lights are a bit of a daft option but I've never specced the 'top' lights and often regretted it so this time is was like "stuff it". That and the wife suffers with her sight in night time due to enlarged pupils so I figured that 'if' she drove it, it might be useful, but that's a big if! She has drove my cars about two times in the last 10 years! 🤣

yes, but most likely a tier 1 option with a cost of $1950 or something.

Tanzanite Blue is an option for the 2022 X3 and M40i so I don't see why you couldn't have it on the X3M.
