I'd put your muffler delete idea in the trash along with your strobing brake light

I have a 2015 x3 with the n55 and my set up is catless downpipe to a resonator delete with the stock muffler. Imo this is the best set up, gives you plenty of noise with little drone and the turbo spool sounds amazing. Just keep in mind you'd need a tune with the downpipe.
